Ready Set... RACE!!

Friday night the Elders Quorum had a BBQ and an anything goes pinewood derby. Or should I say the wife saved the day night! Lets just face it, I think the wives do everything when they

have a party! Lets just say he owes me!

The DERBY!!

Now this was an anything goes pinewood derby. It had to be less then one pound and no open flames, but anything else was fair game! John borrowed a saw from a friend, thanks Andrew! and was able to make a car. Now I didn't think this creation would go very far, but he proved me wrong! Yes I will eat my words :)

Jalyse, my daughter, was the Get Set Go Lady! She let the cars go down the track. You had to hold a bar underneath the track and then let that go, so the cars would go down. She did a fabulous job!

Heat One! Now the pressure is on "No Value" to perform well, to show his wife he made a good car! Zip they went down, and "No Value" won by a landslide!

Heat Two!

"No Value" was up again! He made it down the track and beat the other car!

Heat Three!

Now here goes "No Value", he was up against a heavier car and well it won both rounds! Since the owner of said car had left, the race well it really didn't count. You had to be present to win.

Heat Four!

He was up Against Czar, it was a close race, but in the end Czar got first place.

2nd Place Winner!

John was the second place winner! Great Job Honey!

Yes, you are right, he cut an action figure in half to drive the car! Of Course he did!
