Jaden is going to be in the 7th grade this year. At his school he is required to take band, orchestra or chorus; he chose band. In June, he attend a 3 week band camp. Every day he got to go and learn more about percussion. (and mom got to pick him up and take him for 3 weeks!)The very last day of his band camp they got to perform.
There was a huge group from percussion. Jaden was in the very back. I was disappointed because I really couldn't see him! I am sure he did such a fabulous job! It was neat that he got up there and performed for only having 3 weeks of knowing the drums.
At the end of the concert, they had a special surprise. The American Fork High School Band performed. They are a very large band and have won many awards. They sounded awesome! I think they were trying to let all the students see and hear what they could become. It was a great experience and I hope Jaden will continue with his drums. Great job Jaden!

I think it's great that he's doing band. He's getting so grown up.
