Clark Planetarium

I am Jalyse's room mom, so I get to go along on all the field trips. She happened to have one going to the Clark Planetarium, and well to be honest, I have never been! I was happy to tag along. We got there and had about 20 minutes to look around before our movie was being shown. All of the 3rd graders got to go. This is some of the group of kids.

We stared off by listening to a lady that works there.

We went to the lower floor and started exploring. They had all kinds of different hands on exhibits.

We went upstairs and looked at this neat contraption they had. They had balls flying in and around and around, even up on the ceiling. It was neat to sit and watch it work. You could even crank it. That is what Jalyse is doing in the picture above.

We then went to the moon! They had a simulation of the moons surface. They all got to wonder around on the moon! This is the group I got to take care off. I called them "Ice Cream" I would say ice cream and they would all come a running.

We then all went to Mars! They had another one across the way that was a simulation of Mars surface. This is Jalyse on mars.

Ok, so I had to get in the act and become the weather girl! It was a simulation that you could act like you were the weather man on Channel 4. Jalyse took a pretty good picture

These are all the kids acting like the weather man.

We then went to our movie. It was titled the Amazing Adventures of the Card Board Rocket. The movie was awesome! The theater was soo cool and you had to sit back in your seat to see it all. The movie ran late, so everyone had to go back to the school and eat their brought lunches. They were all starving! We had a great time and it was neat that I got to tag along!
