Egg Hunt

Hmm Easter Morning and there is a ton of snow on the ground! Seriously? I took this picture, but really a lot of snow had melted away. The snow was high up on the railing. Well when life throws you snow, you have to come up with plan B. We did our first ever indoor egg hunt! Yes that Easter Bunny dropped off the eggs to us and said we needed to come up with a plan. The snow had done him in and he was late getting to all the boys and girls.

I had the kids wait in Jalyse's room while John and I hid the eggs. We ran around trying to figure out where to hid them and trying not to make them to easy or to hard. We let them start from Jalyse's room and they had a blast running through the house.

The hunt begins... They were off!

Jaden picking up eggs. I have to say he was really slow last year, and the girls got most of the eggs, so this year I told him he better be faster. I guess track is paying off, he got the most eggs!

Ellie found all the eggs that were in her room.

John hid a huge egg we had, Jalyse is having a hard time getting out of the speaker

Despite our first ever snowy Easter I think the kids had a blast running around the house. The snow did melt off and they were able to go on an outdoor hunt at my mom's house. This Easter was a little different with Conference being on Easter. I hope the kids were able to have fun, but at the same time remember why we celebrate Easter and what it really is about. I think it was nice for them to listen to the Prophet speak and here the words he had to say. It was a great reminder of why we celebrate Easter and what Jesus did for all of us.
