Library Carnival Day
We went to the Library Opening Carnival event. They had different stations set up for different games the kids could play. They girls love the library reading program, but to be honest, this year they changed everything and mom doesn't like the changes!
The first game they played, for some reason I didn't take any pictures. It was a sponge race. Who could fill up the bucket faster and knock out the ping pong ball. Lydia's team won. (We took Lydia with us, Ellie's friend) The second game they did is pictured above. They had to take a straw and suck up a fish and walk it to the fish tank. Neither of them could figure it out! That's ok, they both tried really hard!
The next game up was shark. They had some kids in the middle being the sharks and the rest of the kids were running around trying to avoid them and run into the hoops. If you were touched you became a shark and started chasing people. The three pirate girls! Ellie, Jalyse and Lydia. They all made pirate name tags, and got patches for their eyes.
They got to go under an obstacle and then they got to walk the plank! They they tried to hit a target. Great pirate games.
They last thing they did was dig for hidden treasure. They had a great time playing all the games. Now if I could get them to read...that is the magic questions!
