Before we left San Diego, we took a ride out to Coronado Island. I use to go to the beach out there when I was a little girl. I love love the hotel that is out there. I love architecture and think this is one of the most beautiful old buildings around. This hotel has been restored and it is just gorgeous! Since I saw it as a young girl, I have just loved it.
It was build in 1888, so you can see that it has been around for a long time.
We went in and looked around. They only let you go so far if you are not a registered guest. This is a picture of us in the lobby. They have shops on the lower levels that you can look at. I don't know if my kids were all that interested but I loved looking at the building.
We then went outside and walked on the beach. Ellie is in love with finding sea shells, so we had to see what we could find for her. It was a cool day, so we didn't get into the water. It was way to cold for swimming.
I love this place! I know its just a hotel, but someday, when I get the money, I really want to stay there!
