Quilting Extravaganza!

Jaden has been working on his Eagle Project for Scouts. He decided to focus on doing things to help out Primary Children's Hospital. We had a toy drive, made fleece blankets with the YW/YM and had a quilting event where we tied 4 twin size quilts. Our family has been working on this for a couple of months now and I really am amazed at how much time it takes! Jaden has been stepping up and trying to learn how to be a leader and to be organized and a host of other skills. On Sat, the 24th, we had our last event, the quilts. We went and hyped it up in two wards, but we just didn't get a turn out. Thanks to my mom, (with out her I don't know how I would have set it up!) my neighbor Connie, (who I couldn't have done any of this with out!! She sewed everything together to get it ready for the day. You are amazing Connie!) a few people from the wards, my amazing friends! and hats off to Jaden's amazing friends! we couldn't have gotten it all done. Jaden's friends showed up and my mom gave them a lesson on how to tie and they were off and running. It was amazing to see how great they were at helping Jaden out. He really has a great set of friends and I am so thankful to each one of them that showed up! Jaden only has to finish his paper work and then take the stuff up for the kid to enjoy. It has been a hard, but rewarding experience for him. I am very proud of all of his hard work.

One of the finished quilts. We were able to get all four of them finished! Thanks everyone!

We have a special bond with Primary Children's Hospital. My sister passed away. We are doing this project in her memory! Thanks to everyone that donated and helped out. I think he was able to gather a lot of needed items that will bless the lives of the children who receive them. Thanks again for all of your wonderful support!
