After we went to my mom's house, we came home and we did our Easter egg hunt with the kids. We are doing things a little backwards this year. We did lunch at my mom's house, instead of dinner, so we had to move things around. We had to have the kids stay in Ellie's room so we could hide the eggs. Only Ellie still believes in the Easter Bunny, so honestly I don't know what she was thinking. We usually have the eggs hidden before the kids get home.
On Saturday I tried to talk them into going to an Easter Egg Hunt at a park. I am the only one that wanted to go. I guess it reminds me of being a kid. This is the second year we haven't done a city egg hunt. The kids never get any eggs, so they just don't want to go again. I was going to do an egg hunt for them on Sat, but it decided to rain all morning, so that got scrapped. With that being said, we kinda go crazy on our egg hunt. We hid about 120 eggs! I always want them to have enough to pick up and it lasts awhile to do it. I know its kinda of a lot but it just seems to keep growing every year. They pick up as many as they can, then we have to divide it up so its fair. They really love the egg hunt! They all had a wonderful time picking them all up. The kids get really excited for Easter, but I still have to keep reminding them what Easter is really about. I talked to them several times about the Savior. I have to remind them that he gave up his life for us to return and live with him some day. I know we have a lot of fun with all the Easter goings on, but I just hope they remember to think about the Savior and what he did for all of us. I hope everyone had a great Easter!
