Jalyse's Baptisim

Jalyse got baptized on Sat January 31st, 2009. We are so proud of her!

It has been a very busy week for us. She turned 8 on the 29th and was baptized just 2 days later! Her Grandma Pat came in from California. We picked her up on Friday and then we went and walked thru the new Draper Temple. Grandma Pat had never been to a temple, so we thought it would be a good time to take her. We had a great experience going to the temple and I hope it was a memorable experience for the kids. We then had to do some errands for Jalyse's birthday party. Then we all went out to eat at Goodwood. Jalyse got to pick where she wanted to eat. Sat morning we got ready for her big day! What a busy day we had in store for us! We went to the stake center for her baptism. It just happens to be the same stake center that I was baptized in. Jaden was also baptized there too. Jalyse had to get right into her baptism jump suit, so she didn't have much time in her dress. It was a stake baptism, so there were a lot of children being baptized. Just in our ward there were 3 kids. Addie Bullock, Harrison Gygi and then Jalyse. We had some good talks and a lot of singing waiting for everyone to have there turn going to the font. The Orchard ward was the last ward to be baptized, so we had are own little service. I got to stand up and do a spot light on Jalyse. It was nice to have it a little more personal for her.Jalyse was the last person today to get baptized. Her Grandpa Don and her Uncle Doug were the witnesses for her. Her daddy, John, baptized her. We then all went back into the chapel and we were able to Confirm her. We all went back to our house and had a birthday party/baptism celebration for Jalyse.
