4th of July!

We got home from California just in time for the 4th of July. We took the kids swimming earlier in the day and then we had my parents come over for a BBQ dinner. We also had 3 of my sisters kids with us too. Two of their girls performed in the stadium of fire, so my sister and her husband went to the show. We had a great time eating burgers and pigging out.

Jalyse got out the snaps and they all went outside to divide them up. Jalyse took charge, but she forgot to give herself any!

Collyn tried to pop them, but he just couldn't throw them hard enough to make them pop. He was sure cute trying!

My kids love snaps. Its one of their favorite things to do on the 4th.

My dad went home and my mom came back. We took the kids to the Jr High school to watch the fireworks show. We got there early and of course they were late starting. Trying to control a 2 year old with no nap was a little interesting. We always love to watch the big fireworks show. This year they had a couple of miss fires and the fireworks came right out into the audience. Some people left the show early and come to find out later, there were a few people that got hurt. It made us uncomfortable to watch the show, so we left a little early too. We watch the end of the show walking back to the car.

I was having problems with my camera, so I only got one shot of the fireworks. They had a new one this year that was really cool! I had never seen a firework like that before.

The next day we set off our fireworks. The kids always enjoy taking turns picking out which one they want John to light off next.
