We had our annual ward party. We had a luau/swim party. We always go to the local pool and have some kind of a dinner before. My friend, Jess, was in charge. She did an amazing job! Her committee was amazing too! It was the best party! They had great decorations, amazing entertainment and the food was wonderful!
Jaden and the pig head. John couldn't resist taking a picture.
Jaden and the rest of the scouts dug a whole for the pigs. They roasted the pigs overnight. We have a Brother in the ward that is from Tonga, so he became in charge of roasting the pigs Tongan style! Jaden and the rest of the boys came back before the luau and dug up the pigs and helped transport them to the party. Thanks boys! Now this is my other son, Scott. I call him that since Jaden and him have been best friends forever! Now Scott, I have discovered, will eat anything! Tonight he proved it. He ate some of the tongue and an eye ball! So gross!!! He even slept over at my house that night! Oh the boy, at least he will be ready for his mission!
Performing a Polynesian dance.

Another great dancer.
The last act of the night was a fire dancer! He is the grandson of the couple that use to live next to us. He was amazing! I think everyone had a great time watching the entertainment. After the great show was over it was off to the pool for some swimming. I usually get in the pool with the kids, but I wasn't feeling very well, so John and I sat and watched the kids swim.
Jaden having a great time playing with his buddies
Jalyse my little swimmer!
Ellie hanging out at the pool
Ellie was even brave and went down the slide by herself. She is finally tall enough to go by herself!
It was a great party! Thanks to all that put on such a great ward party! Can't wait to go again next year.
