Salamander Flats

Over Labor day we went up to Salamander Flats up American Fork Canyon. We had friends that were camping there, so we just went up for the day. Jaden spent the weekend with them. We always have a great time with our friends.

We went on a short hike. It was a nice path through the forest. It wasn't a very hard hike, so it was perfect for the girls.

John took this picture of the forest we were walking through. The views were beautiful and there were some really pretty flowers along the way too. It was nice to remember that our world is really pretty. The view I see every day is a computer screen!

We went back to the campsite and got ready for dinner. We brought up tin foil dinners, so we cooked them up and talked. The kids all got together and were playing games. It was a great time hanging out and having a great time together.

We had marshmallows for a treat and boy did Ellie get into hers! I couldn't resist taking a picture of the messy girl! We had a great time and it was nice to have a little get away.
