Pumpkin Time

This is a sad picture of my pumpkin patch. This was my second attempt at a growing pumpkins. Last years crop was much better! I managed to get 3 large pumpkins and about 5 small ones. Not so great! Last year I got a ton! I was excited, though, that I had 3 large ones, one for each kid.

We were really late this year carving pumpkins. We decided, while mom was still sick, to get them carved. Everyone had what idea they wanted, and John drew on the girls pumpkins the design. They needed a little help with getting the top off of the pumpkin, but they really did the whole thing this year themselves! Ellie even did all her own cutting. When did they all grow up?

Guts mom! Gross! But she got all of them out herself. They did such a great job and getting everything out.

I really only took one scoop out of Ellie's pumpkin and she said I was done. They didn't want any help this year. I lied down on the sofa and just watched them.

Ellie got the biggest one! She got her face idea out of a cute little Halloween book she loves. The littlest pumpkin.

Jaden is so into Jack Skelington, that he made a Jack Skelington pumpkin head. He designed it and cut it all out on his own.

These are what they came up with. I think they did a great job. Especially for doing it all on there own.
