Cheetah Tales...Meet the Cheetah

We got into the park and we had some time to look around, then we wanted to see Cheetah Tales. We were trying to do a few things that we had not done last time. We saw Cheetah Tales on the calendar and we thought it sounded great. You could get up close and personnel with a cheetah. You couldn't touch him, but you felt like you almost could!

I have never been that close to a wild animal. She was gorgeous!

They would have her walk around and have her do different things. Everyone got to see her. They use some of the cheetahs as animal ambassadors. They take them out of the zoo for different appearances.

You can barley see in the corner of this picture a white dog. I thought I took a better picture of the dog. Each cheetah has a dog companion. In the wild they said they would be scared of a dog and run away. In parts of the world that cheetahs are eating peoples livestock, they have come up with a program and have been able to help raise money to get these farmers their own dog. The cheetahs sees how calm the dog is and knows that everything is fine. The dog is the leader. It helps the cheetah calm down.
